AMBROSE ATENCIO - Santo Domingo

This stunning olla is made by the well-known Santo Domingo potter, Ambrose Atencio. Ambrose studied under the great Robert Tenorio, who is also a cousin. He has won numerous awards for his artistry at Santa Fe Indian Market and elsewhere. This olla has been handcoiled, handpainted, and outdoor fired, showing some fire marks on the base and the interior. The traditional Santo Domingo design is so striking! Measuring a full 8" in diameter, it is 6" high with a 4" mouth opening on the top of the olla. It is signed Ambrose Atencio, Kewa, 2004. It is in superb condition with no chips, cracks, or other flaws. Perfectly gorgeous!
