OLD HOPI POTTERY JAR
Unlike many old Hopi jars, this one comes with some knowledge of its age and origins! We know it was purchased in 1922 on First Mesa at the Tom Pavatea Trading Post by a relative of the prior owners. Measuring 5" in diameter by 4 1/8" high, it is a larger piece and remains in good condition for its age with some slip and clay wear and rubbing. This older jar has the beautiful fire clouds, from the outdoor firing, that give it those yummy variations in hue! It is said to have been "kissed" by the fire!
