SANTO DOMINGO PEACOCK PEARL NECKLACE

A simply stunning Santo Domingo made necklace of peacock pearls! Measuring 18" in length, this necklace is quite unusual in that rarely are pearls used in Native American jewelry. This 5-strand piece came from a private collection of amazing and unusual pieces collected since the middle of the last century, and was made by Victoria Lucero. It can be worn twisted or braided as shown or in straight strands. The pearls measure 5mm by 4mm approximately. Of more recent vintage, when these pearls became popular, it is quite a unique and original showpiece!
