TOHONO O'ODHAM VASE BASKET

Here is a very fine Papago or Tohono O'Odham made basket, measuring 6 and 1/2" high and 7" in diameter at the widest point, with a mouth opening of 4 and 1/4". It is a very uncommon vase shape that is much more difficult to do than the flat trays! This one has great symmetry and balance in the execution of the shape! Made of beargrass fiber bundle for the warp, and bleached Yucca for the weft, it is done in a very nice wheat stitch. It has a card with the weaver's name, but I'm not sure what the last name is, so I have included a picture. This will be included with the basket when purchased.
