EAGLE QUILL BOX

This is a positively fine Native American quill box or basket!   The tribal origin is probably Ojibway from Canada or Chippewa from the United States. It is not new, although I'm not sure of the exact age, and has one quill that is loose but not broken at the base, which can be seen in the photos, but it has remained remarkably intact and unless you really move it, it is not even visible, and could easily be repaired. Measuring 3 and 1/4" in length by 2 and 5/8" in width and 1 and 7/8" high, this is some of the finest quill work I have seen! Just look at the detail and the workmanship that went into making this piece!  This is truly a work of art!
