SWEETGRASS BASKET by ROCKY KEEZER

This gorgeous small sweetgrass and ash basket is made from the traditional materials used by the  Northern Woodlands Native Americans for generations.  Made by top weaver, Rocky Keezer, of the Passamoquoddy in Maine, this basket measures 3“ in diameter by 3 and 1/2“ high. The sweetgrass braids are woven into a warp of brown ash, and  the lid is also finished with a sweet grass rim.  Rocky’s work can be found in the National Museum in Washington, D.C. as well as many private collections.  This came out of a private collection, and this one was made in 2004. We are very fortunate to obtain Rocky's work!
